Awareness is part of the cure

A formulation can only help someone who knows there is a problem, knows it has a name, and knows it is worth taking to a doctor. In a great many of the conditions we work on, that knowledge is the missing step.

Why a research company runs education programmes

Most of the health problems Neuriva studies are not rare and are not mysterious. They are common, treatable and widely misunderstood. People live with them for years because nobody told them otherwise, because the symptom felt embarrassing to raise, or because the first answer they found was wrong.

That is an information failure, not only a clinical one, and products do not fix it. Education does, and so does research that establishes what people actually know rather than what we assume they know.

So we run public-health education programmes alongside our research, and we measure them properly.

How these programmes are funded and governed

Our education and research programmes are kept structurally separate from our commercial activity. Programme funding pays for education, research, training, outreach and impact measurement. It does not pay for product, promotion or customer acquisition, and programmes are designed so that they would run unchanged if no Neuriva product existed.

Where a programme is delivered under corporate social responsibility funding, it is implemented through a registered implementing partner with the appropriate CSR registration and track record. Neuriva’s role is the scientific and programme architecture: the content, the research design, the training and the measurement framework.

We hold to that separation because it is what makes the work credible, and because a public-health programme that doubles as a marketing channel is neither.

Our current programme

The Safe & Sure Women’s Health Initiative addresses what women in India are told about intimate health, and what they are never told. It runs education sessions in colleges and communities, collects anonymous research on knowledge and health-seeking behaviour, and directs people toward appropriate medical care rather than toward a product.
